Want to Study in Australia Without IELTS for Fall 2020

Studying in Australia is a dream for many students who are ready to study abroad. A common parameter is that many of us are not comfortable with the English language test. IELTS and TOEFL are crazy hard to crack, so what if we find a way around those tests and still study in Australia? Here is a list of all universities in Australia without IELTS / TOEFL. Keep in mind that many Australian universities accept the Australian Government as well as PTE (Pearson Test of English) as language proficiency, which depends on PTE scores for many purposes.


1. University of Queensland:
The University of Queensland is ranked 48th among the top universities in the world. You can study at the University of Queensland if you meet one of the criteria listed below:

A. Completed secondary education with English rich discipline in one of the following listed countries:

B. in Australia without IELTS for Indian students. study:
For Indian students, they have to fulfill the following criteria:

C. Adequate English language skills developed through paid / voluntary work experience for at least 5 years in professional language, which is mainly private speech.

2. University of Adelaide:
The University of Adelaide has been ranked 114 in the World University Rankings and is one of the top universities in Australia. If you can apply for the University of Adelaide without IELTS / TOEFL:

1) You have conditional acceptance from the university and you complete the English route program of Adelaide OR

2) If you have done your latest degree course in English language (both instruction and assessment in English)

For the purposes of admission, you must provide a confirmation letter from your degree institution stating that you have completed your degree education in the English language, both instruction and assessment.

3. University of New South Wales:
The University of New South Wales is Australia's third place, and when it comes to world rankings, it falls to 45th. You can get admission in UNSW without IELTS if:

1) You have a conditional acceptance from UNSW, and you complete their pre-seasonal English language program

2) You can also present your PTE or Cambridge English: Advanced score for evaluation in place of IELTS / TOEFL.

4. Macquarie University:
Macquarie University is one of the top 250 universities in the world. You can apply for conditional admission to Macquarie University. If all the entry criteria other than English language proficiency are met, you can prepare for English at Macquarie University's English Language Center.

5. Bond University:
Bond University is one of the top 500 universities in the world. To be precise, this is the 443rd. You can finish Bond University College's EAP Level 3 (English for educational purposes) prior to the start of the program and be eligible for admission.

6. University of South Australia:
Another University of Australia, which is ranked 264th in the World University Rankings, is flexible when it comes to English Language Requirements. On completion of any of the following, you can get admission without IELTS:


  • A score of 169 in Certificate in Advanced English (CAE) or Certificate of Proficiency (CPE) 
  • Total and individual score of 50 in PTE
  • CELUSA English Program Level 4
  • TAFE SA Program
  • Secondary education in Australia
  • At least one year tertiary education in Australia
  • Completed one year in any secondary or tertiary education in the countries decided by the university.


7. University of Southern Queensland:
The University of Southern Queensland offers the USQ Pathway program to students who are eligible for admission to the English language proficiency course. After the completion of the program, admission is granted.

8. Swinburne University of Technology:
Swinburne University of Technology is ranked 387th among the top universities in the world. If you complete one of the following, you can enter Swineburn:

1) If you have completed secondary and / or tertiary education in an institution where English was the language for both assessment and instruction. You must provide a confirmation letter stating the same.

2) If you are from any of these countries, then you do not need any English language proficiency proof:


  • Denmark
  • Hogcog
  • Germany
  • Netherlands
  • Norway
  • Sweden


3) If you successfully complete English for academic purposes at Swinburne, you are accepted directly into the program at Swinburne University of Technology.

It should be noted that most universities that offer English language courses on their campus charge different fees for them. Those fees will not be included in your tuition, application or educational fees. There will be different fees for those courses.
