How to Apply to French Universities in 2022?

  • You can apply for some universities directly on the university or college website.
  • Admission Criteria Must Be Carefully Reviewed: Some undergraduate and graduate studies require standard exams, including the GRE, GMAT, or LSAT.
  • Please apply to at least three different institutions to maximize your chances of admission.
  • Non-EU/EEA students will be required under the mandatory pre-admission provision ("Demand admission Pre label" - DAP). Apply for the DAP in Culture and Cooperation Service at the French Embassy in your country.

Apply for The France University Program with The Application Deadline for 2021?

Depending on your ethnicity, the application process is really different.

Under the same conditions as French students, students from the European Union (EU) and the European Economic Area (EEA) can apply directly to the university.

Under the online application system, formerly known as CEF and now known as the 'Study in France Process', non-EU/EEA students must apply. You can also apply for your visa online and monitor the progress of your application through this framework.

If you already live in Europe but do not hold European citizenship you will need to apply through the French embassy or consulate in the European country.

Admission Deadline for 2021 Intake- When to Apply?

Doing your research early is essential when you want to get a Bachelors's or Master's degree in Europe in 2021. You may be allowed to submit applications in some countries up to 9 months before the end of the term.


When do Applications Close?

University deadlines for applications vary widely from country to country. Often they depend on whether a student visa is necessary. Applications can be completed by July 2021 (France and Germany), or as early as August and September until the start of analysis in autumn 2021 (Austria or Poland), until January 2021 (Sweden or Finland).

Intake simply means that the terms or classes begin at universities at that time of the year. Two major contributions for foreign students are available in France in January and September, both of which are important for French students and universities alike. Some here address the research deadline and the research process in France. However, more importance is given to the intake of September.

Intake in France for January:

Spring intake begins in France, at the beginning of the year in January. As we have said, intake is equally important in both autumn and spring and the number of courses is the same. If you are ready to study in France at the beginning of January, here are the steps to take:

  • Start Now
Start in January and then start looking at a course in France in your field of study, bachelor's degree and master's degree. Shorten your academic and career goals from university. In short, do extensive research in all possible ways before selecting the university you will study at.

When deciding on a university, go to the website and look for the application deadline. Before the deadline, you must submit your applications. So prepare like this.

Stage 2 - Exam Appearance

The institution where you are enrolled has some basic criteria that you must fulfill for admission. One of these is the entrance exam. A French university also has competitive exams and admissions. The most common tests are IELTS, TOEFL, GRE, GMAT, SAT, etc.

Declaring test results takes time, and in case of unwanted results, you may need to retrieve them. Thus, a buffer of two months for the tests is crucial.

Step 3 - Start the College Application:

Once you are sure about the course and college, prepare the application. French universities may request applications or SOPs and LORs. The idea is to show off the strengths you have and be a unique candidate.

Start working on SOP, Intent logic. Communicate letters of recommendation to your former professors and senior officers of the LOR. The submission of documents should start at least one month before the deadline. Go and get the remedy on the official websites in your respective universities. Make sure that the correct information has been filled.

Some programs or private universities may have different deadlines for applying before or after table entries. Make sure the research is completed early so that you don't rush.


What documents do you need for your university application?

The application closing deadline in the table above usually means that you will have to complete your application by then. To check the details with colleges, you will usually need to send the following documents when applying for a bachelor's or master's degree:
  • CV
  • Academic reference letter
  • Previous degree certificate
  • National ID or copy of passport
  • Documentation for program-specific requirements
  • Cover letter
  • English proficiency proof
Some of these documents may be submitted after the actual application deadline – as long as you have started your application before that date. Make sure you read the instructions for admission to know exactly what documents are required.

Which countries accept late applications?

Universities in some countries require you to submit an application at an early stage, such as Sweden or Finland, where the first round closing dates are usually in January. However, late applicants are often forwarded to the second admission round. If you don't get enough applicants otherwise, it may be successful.

Otherwise, in general, some countries have very late deadlines for submission. You should usually apply by June in the Baltic countries - Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania. German public universities are usually allowed to apply until mid-July. Often you can submit an application in Austria and Poland just before the start of the semester.
